Description

Just after installation, after creating a couple of products I tried to delete the Default product (with the "@" prefix) without success. The result is:

Bloodhound Error
Product removal is not allowed!

I enabled the logs, with DEBUG verbosity, but no entries were found related to this error.

I am running Bloodhound in this Turnkey Linux LAPP Appliance without any other problem.

I hope you can reproduce this error at your side.

FWIW , this is intentional .

OTOH default product name after upgrade is problematic . For instance , in sub-domains deployment of the kind <product>.<env>.tld then product=@ represents a problem .

IMHO it should be configurable .

Ok, thanks. Then, I suppose it will be re-enabled again.
BTW, I also agree that the prefix "@" can be problematic.

Additional discussion about deleting the default product can be found in this mailing list entry.

#578 proposes to add a product creation step to bloodhound_setup.py so that the --default-product-prefix option will be more visible to the user. Additional discussion about the default product option can be found in this thread.

#603 was closed as a duplicate, and in fact it is not possible to delete any products at this time.

#319 describes some issues that need to be dealt with if we allow products to be deleted.
